Our mission is to restore small, accountable, fiscally responsible government to all Americans in 2010.

Faces—and Fates—of the Jobless

Although some employers report trouble finding workers, about 4.4 million Americans have been looking for jobs for at least a year—and that doesn’t include the ones who have given up. Here are some of their stories.

ght to Work on Fox Business: Shady SEIU Fundraising Tactics Escape Political Scrutiny

1027Let me get this straight . . . .

We’re going to be “gifted” with a health  care plan we are forced to purchase and fined if we don’t, which purportedly covers at least ten  million more people, without adding a single new doctor, but provides for 16,000  new IRS agents, written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn’t understand it, passed by a  Congress that didn’t read it but exempted themselves from it, signed by a President who smokes, with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn’t pay his taxes, for which we’ll be taxed  for four years before any “benefits”  take effect, by a government which has already  bankrupted Social Security and Medicare, all to be overseen by a surgeon  general who is obese, and financed by a country that’s broke.

What the hell could possibly go wrong?

You are John Galt if…

  • You have worked hard, followed the rules and been a contributor to this country yet your government continues to reward failure and bail out incompetence at your expense.
  • You believe that this government is unnecessarily burdening your children and their children with insurmountable debt.
  • You believe that the majority of Americans are essentially centrist and that both political parties cater to extreme elements at the expense of your effort and interests.
  • You feel that the government is less trustworthy and transparent than it should be.
  • You feel that the government is doing these things with the fruit of your labor and committing you to economic slavery without your consent.

In 1957, Ayn Rand published Atlas Shrugged, a book that many say is her masterpiece, Atlas Shrugged describes how a genius named John Galt grows weary of supporting a society of ungrateful people and one day simply shrugs and walks away. He becomes an inspiration to like-minded men and women, all of whom eventually follow his example, until society, in its agony, calls them back to responsibility and respect. Rand’s reviews by progressives were unsympathetic, but people bought the book. By 1984 more than five million copies of Atlas Shrugged had been sold, and in a 1991 Library of Congress survey Americans named it second only to the Bible as the book that had most influenced their lives.

There is no greater symbol of what is happening in American today than John Galt. Our elected government has departed from our founding principals of limited government and the right of individuals to life liberty and the pursuit of happiness. The Government continues to support trial lawyers, large corporations and its own expanding bureaucracy at the expense of individual liberty and those individuals who continue to work hard to realize what they thought was the American dream. Our government no longer appears to believe in the value of the individual, hard work, self determination, and the small businessman.

Our government is increasingly supporting a collective agenda that not only prevents individuals from rising up through the efforts of their own work, but implements government “solutions” that favor large corporations over small business, bail out the unproductive , and use fees and tax’s to redistribute wealth, all with taxpayer’s money. In short the government continues to take from those that produce and redistribute to those that don’t.

Perhaps of greatest importance however, is that the government is doing this with borrowed money. The government is stealing the productivity of our children, and their children by increasing the debt that future generations will have to pay back through higher and higher taxation. If not for ourselves, we need to put a stop to this now for our children.

Join us in our effort to remind the politicians in Washington that we want smaller government, lower tax’s and greater personal freedom because they work for us and it is the fruit (tax’s) of our labor, not theirs they are spending and redistributing to no end. By placing an “I Am John Galt” sticker on your vehicle we can all send a message.

Net proceeds from sticker sales are used to support our mission and provide funding to students to continue their education.
